"I remember reading something by Mark Victor Hansen where he talked about what happens when a person makes the choice of "security" rather than freedom. In front of you, there are two doors. Everyone gets this choice – you either choose the door marked "Financial Security" or the one marked "Financial Freedom." Now here's the tricky part. The door marked Financial Security means that you get a good education, get a job, and save through a company sponsored retirement plan. The problem is that you have to trade in freedom for that security."
